5 Benefits only Linux Users can Enjoy

Have you ever used Linux before? If yes, you might find it too hard to use rather than Windows or Mac. If no, you may be thinking about why people use Linux. But the truth is, Linux is not that what you are thinking. Not only for developers, Linux is also a very good operating system for regular computer users. After using any Linux distribution for 5 to 6 months you will find it really useful. As a regular user, you can get a lot of benefits that other major operating systems can’t provide. In this article I will discuss about top 5 benefits that only Linux users can enjoy.

Faster performance:

Can you imagine a budget Windows PC for everyday use that provides you a smooth and fast computing experience everyday? The answer is obviously a big “NO” for most of you. Linux is a pretty lite OS and it’s compatible with any hardware. If you install any popular Linux distribution like Ubuntu, Debian or Mint, you can do your everyday job like browsing, email, youtubing, listening music, watching series smoothly as long as you want. In Windows, it becomes slower day by day. But in Linux, you don’t need to worry about that. Even you can keep your computer turned on for months!

As a regular user, you can have a decent computing experience at a low budget computer. So, if you use computer for these kind of work switch to Linux.

Gaming on Linux is not a very good idea but there are some ways to game on a Linux. Check the video down below if you are really interested about gaming on a Linux machine.

Customizable:

Don’t you boar with a same visual appearance everyday or don’t you want to make your workspace more cool and fantastic? I do. In windows, you have to change themes or use skin packs but that doesn’t provides a complete new look but Linux does. In Linux, you can get a brand new look everyday where Windows has a lot of limitations. You can make it look like anything as you want. Just Google a little bit and you will get whatever look you want.

Not only visually, you can change anything as you want. Many developers use their own Linux distro. It is not too much hard to build own Linux because everything is open source.

Live OS from USB:

Suppose, you need Linux urgently on a computer and have no time or no chance to install the whole Operating System or you have a special software that is installed on your Linux machine and you are not in touch with that. That’s why the USB live mode feature comes with Linux. You can install Linux in a USB stick or thumb-drive or pendrive whatever you say. You can simply boot from a USB flash drive without installing it on a disk. Just run it directly without installation. Configuring for USB persistence your changes can be saved in the USB Drive. So, whenever you need it, just plug and play.

Sometimes live mode is used to repair error or failure of installed Linux.
Even it can repair a broken Windows. So, Linux users are greatly benefited by it.

Secure:

Are you concerned about digital security? Remember that Ransomware attack and NSA (National Security Agency) Windows exploits?
Every year billion dollar of info-stature are being damaged by many cyber-attacks, Ransomware attacks,  Spyware, Adware, Malwares etc. In Windows, you need to spend money after anti-viruses and internet security softwares. But these SHITs can’t ensure your security and they can be easily bypassed by professional hackers and cyber criminals. I will write another post about it. Keep visiting.
Again some foreign spy agencies like NSA, MOSSAD, ISI, RAW etc. are looking for your personal information. Even Microsoft Corporation, the tech giant, might be helping them by leaving a backdoor into your computer system. So you can’t not be stay 100% safe in Windows operating system.

In Linux, you don’t need to worry about that. Linux is an open source operating system and its code is visible to all. There is no chance of any built-in backdoor. People from all around the world are working for it to make it more secure. If any vulnerability found, it fixes within hours. Moreover, hackers don’t target Linux as very few people use it. It is very hard to find any malware or ransomware designed for Linux. So, Linux user don’t need to be worried about losing their files.
For security reason, Linux is way more better then Windows. Sorry Microsoft

Reliable:

One thing I like most about Linux system is it’s more reliable. At least, I can expect that the system will boot next time! I have used many Windows versions and many times my system got ruined. I want to clear that I’ve used pirated versions. May be legal copies don’t have these issues but if you want a free OS, Linux is for you. It can handle all your daily jobs smoothly. Don’t need to worry about that “Blue Screen” (Screen of Death!!). Just install a popular distribution of Linux and you will gate life time support, update and everything for free. In this case, Linux is more reliable.

Linux don’t spy on you (as I mentioned earlier). You may heard about specious activity about Microsoft Windows. They collects user data even if you turn off that. It’s hard to trust Microsoft and their software nowadays. Being concerned about privacy, I highly recommend you to use Linux.

Thanks for reading the whole article. These are the top 5 benefits a regular Linux user can enjoy. If you are in developer community, you can get a huge number of benefits from Linux system. So, try out a Linux this week.

TCP Flood & IP Spoofing Tutorial - Hping3 (With Effective Tricks)

hping is a command-line oriented TCP/IP packet assembler/analyzer. Using hping3 you are able to perform at least the following stuff: Test firewall rules Testing Network performance using different protocols, packet size, TOS (type of service) and fragmentation Remote OS fingerprinting. TCP/IP stack auditing Today, we will use hping3 for testing network performance. In other words we will use it to do DDOS Attack Tests. We can start “Help Document” by typing “hping3 --help” on the command line. Hping3 Important Parameters :  The flood parameter : Activates the fastest packet sending mode The destport(p) parameter : Specifies the destination port The spoof(a) parameter : Specifies which IP Adress is to be spoofed The rand-source parameter : Activates the random source address mode Although the above parameters are important, it should be selected which flag is set to determine the main attack type.  Main Attack Types :  The syn(S) parameter: Specifies tha

NSA Releases GHIDRA 9.0 — Free, Powerful Reverse Engineering Tool

The United States' National Security Agency (NSA) today finally released GHIDRA version 9.0 for free, the agency’s home-grown classified software reverse engineering tool that agency experts have been using internally for over a decade to hunt down security bugs in software and applications. GHIDRA is a Java-based reverse engineering framework that features a graphical user interface (GUI) and has been designed to run on a variety of platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Reverse engineering a program or software involves disassembling, i.e. converting binary instructions into assembly code when its source code is unavailable, helping software engineers, especially malware analysts, understand the functionality of the code and actual design and implementation information.
